Control (TREC) Lab in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Virginia
Tech are looking to jointly hire one postdoctoral researcher in the area of
whole body compliant control of humanoid robots. The labs are working on a
National Science Foundation-funded project on the design of a
self-stabilizing lower body exoskeleton. Within the project, the
postdoctoral researcher will take a lead role in writing controllers for
the exoskeleton to balance and walk, and implementing them on the robot.

Applicants should have a PhD, and a strong background in whole-body
