The robotics group at the University of Waterloo is hiring at the PhD and post-doc level for projects in multi-agent unmanned aerial and ground vehicle systems, human-robot interaction, motion planning and robotics for intelligent manufacturing automation. A master's or doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.

The robotics group at the University of Waterloo is building a brand new, state-of-the art robotics experimental facility including humanoid, aerial, ground and maglev robots in a fully instrumented reconfigurable facility. Successful candidates will conduct research in perception, control, motion planning and human-robot interaction, work with industrial and academic collaborators, implement algorithms in simulation and on physical robots using our extensive experimental facilities, and publish in leading conferences and journals. Post-doctoral candidates will also have the opportunity to develop new research proposals and supervise junior researchers.

Applications should include a CV and transcript, a cover letter describing research interests and goals, copies of up to three relevant previous publications, and the names and contact information of three references that can provide letters of recommendation. Applications should be emailed to robots at uwaterloo.ca.
