The Movement Control Rehabilitation Laboratory (www.mocorelab.com) in the
Department of Biomedical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology has
an opening for a full-time PhD student to start in September 2017.   

The individual will contribute to research that investigates sensorimotor
control mechanisms underlying neuromuscular disorders and innovative
rehabilitation solutions. Methods will include simulation-based control of
exoskeletons for gait restoration and virtual-reality therapy for improved
hand function. Key skills to be developed with this work include
understanding of biomechanics, clinical experience,
Matlab/Simulink/C/LabView, and effective communication. 
The position is fully-funded for two years. Additional funding will be
sought via available intramural and extramural sources. 

Stevens Institute of Technology is located in Hoboken, New Jersey, USA.
