*Research Scientist, Mechanical Engineering (MechE)-2005317*

*Description*

A Research Scientist Position is available to work with Professor 
Jonathan Cagan in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.The position 
focuses on computational design and requires a Ph.D. in computer 
science, robotics, software engineering, mechanical engineering or 
related fields. Skills and experience in data mining/machine learning, 
optimization, and programming required.In addition, demonstrated 
leadership and communication skills are required as this position will 
be the interface with the sponsor, other research teams, and our 
distributed research teams.

The position will start on July 1, 2017.

·Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical 
Engineering or related field required

·At least 5 years overall work experience required with significant 
experience in data mining/machine learning, optimization, and programming

·Excellent organization, problem-solving, reasoning, analytical, 
oral/written communication and planning skills.
