TL;DR: Oregon State is hiring in Robotics. All ranks, all areas of
robotics, departmental affiliation flexible. Full consideration date is
November 30th.

Oregon State University’s (OSU) Robotics program will be inviting
applications and nominations for one or more full-time tenure-track and/or
tenured faculty positions to begin Fall 2018. All areas relating to
robotics will be considered. As one of the nation’s leading Robotics
programs, OSU seeks top-quality candidates who will help us continue to
grow (https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__robotics.oregonstate.edu&d=DwIFaQ&c=clK7kQUTWtAVEOVIgvi0NU5BOUHhpN0H8p7CSfnc_gI&r=0w3solp5fswiyWF2RL6rSs8MCeFamFEPafDTOhgTfYI&m=zNGA3RoXkZt0E-Kuylb5OY26S-WgbBwgWPNQ8R-RE34&s=HhX3QtcOrhcoAukCWrw0EKG2QagV6KwKT70_wAXPX10&e=). Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in
robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering,
computer science, or other robotics-related discipline by the start date of
employment, and have a demonstrated record of scholarship. The successful
candidates will have office and laboratory space physically located with
the existing Robotics group, and will have an administrative home most
appropriate to their area of expertise within the College of Engineering’s
School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) or School of
Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (MIME), and will be
part of OSU’s Collaborative Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CoRIS)
Institute. As a Land/Sea/Air/Space grant institution, with strong ties to
oceanography and the NOAA fleet, as well as hosting an FAA UAV test site,
there are many opportunities to collaborate across disciplines at Oregon
State University and utilize Robotics as an enabling technology.

Engineering ranks high nationally in terms of the percentage of women
faculty, and the university supports dual-career applications.
