Researcher in process control and software engineering in 

The Institute for Robotics and Process Control (IRP) at Technische 
Universität Braunschweig
solicits applications for a full funded three years researcher 
position/PhD position to create
the digital backbone of the robobtics-integrated flexible automation 
system of tomorrow.

The successful candidate owns a master in robotics, automation, computer 
a related field. Thestudent is expected to develop and pursue research in
a joint project with further partners from mechanical engineeringand
industry towards demonstrating advanced optimization and learning in a
reference smart factory production system.

Required qualifications are understanding and experience in software 
engineering, very
good programming skills, a basic knowledge of hardware-software systems 
in robotics
and/or automationfirst hands-on experience with such systems.
Knowledge and experience in machine learningis an advantage. Proficiency 
in German is required.

The successful candidate is intrinsically motivated and enjoys working 
in an international teamtowards
the PhD in a highly relevant field for future manufacturing. The IRP 
institute provides support
through a strong research environment, excellent equipment, base funding 
and projects in humanoid
robotics, soft robotics, human-robot interaction, artificial 
intelligence and industrial applications.

The Technische Universität Braunschweig is one of the oldest in
