The Translational Surgical Oncology group at the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) in Dresden is looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to work in the area of computer- and robotic-assisted surgery. The project focus is soft-tissue navigation in laparoscopic surgery, the aim is to visualize risk and target structures during minimally-invasive surgeries in endoscopic images. The project is part of an interdisciplinary collaboration between the NCT, clinicians and industrial partners. The research environment is highly collaborative and involves regular interactions with the project partners.
The candidate should hold a PhD degree in computer science, applied mathematics, (biomedical) engineering or related fields of expertise with a specialization in robotics, computer vision or machine learning. Excellent programming skills, fluency in English and the ability to collaborate well in an interdisciplinary environment are essential.
