We are seeking highly motivated researchers for a project involving the use
of virtual reality to simulate robotic space exploration missions and
prototype future telerobotic interfaces. Strong programming (C++/ROS
preferred), design, prototyping, and system integration skills are needed.
It is expected that successful candidates will hold a PhD in computer
science or a related engineering discipline, with relevant experience
and/or a strong interest in research areas including (but not limited to):

+ Robotic teleoperation and supervisory control
+ 3D perception, localization, and mapping
+ Human-robot interaction
+ Virtual, augmented, and mixed reality
+ Interface design and evaluation
+ Space robotics

This research fellowship will offer the opportunity to engage in a
collaborative partnership with NASA, mentor/co-supervise graduate students
working on the project team, and support in producing original research
contributions to be disseminated in leading international conferences and
