A multidisciplinary group at the Computer Science and Artificial
Intelligence Lab (CSAIL) at MIT has a position for a postdoc with expertise
in robotics, especially manipulation, as well as knowledge of some
combination of vision, touch, and deep learning. The project is developing
soft, high resolution touch sensors, and seeks to integrate them into a
system for solving everyday manipulation tasks. Tactile information will be
combined with other sensory data (including visual and proprioceptive data)
using both model-based and learning-based methods. Candidates should have a
Ph.D. in computer science or a related field.
