Dear all,

The first edition of the Open Source Cubesat Workshop will be held on
November 23-24, 2017, at the European Space Operations Center (Darmstadt,

Call for abstract deadline: 28 September 2017 23:00 UTC

CubeSats have proven to be an ideal tool for disrupting old (space)
traditions and inspire bigger missions: by removing the barrier of
confidentiality and secrecy, and by starting to freely share knowledge and
information about how to build and operate CubeSats, we hope to change the
pace at which technology involve in the space industry. This workshop
provides a forum for CubeSat developers and CubeSat mission operators to
meet and join forces on open source projects to benefit from transparency,
inclusivity, adaptability, collaborations and community, the keys of an
open source philosophy.

Cubesats could be considered as autonomous or semi-autonomous robots in
space. The Librecube Initiative and the Librespace Foundation invite you
to participate to this workshop by covering any of the open source aspects
in the following non-exhaustive list of topics:

 - Artificial Intelligence in command, control and monitoring
 - Instruments and payloads
 - Multi-agent systems
 - Data-driven approaches
 - Avionics subsystems
 - Ground stations and networks
 - Data and knowledge management
 - Mission operations
 - Business models and regulations
 - Communities and organizations
 - Standards and reference architectures

Kind regards,
Dr. Redouane Boumghar,
