The 5th International Conference on Applied Robotics for the Power 
Industry (CARPI 2018) will be held at
Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal, next September, 25-28.

The  event will bring together stakeholders interested in robotics 
applications in the power industry.
The program will include presentations of robotics solutions for 
construction, refurbishment, inspection,
and maintenance of power systems.

Abstract submission deadline:  May 16, 2018
Notification to authors:  Jun 18, 2018
Early registration deadline: Jul 16, 2018
Full paper submission:  Jul 31, 2018
Conference:  Sep. 25-28, 2018


Authors are invited to submit original research contributions in 
English, in the form of an
extended abstract up to 1000 words.

Authors should submit their abstracts electronically in PDF format via 

Reviewing for CARPI 2018 will be double blind, so authors must remove 
their names from the submitted
abstracts and should take reasonable care not to indirectly disclose 
their identity.

Three program committee members will be assigned to review each 
abstract. Acceptance will be based on the abstract's significance, 
technical quality, clarity, relevance and originality.

After acceptance, six pages in the standard IEEE format are allowed for 
each paper, including figures, with up to two extra pages with an extra 
payment per extra page. Papers must be written in English following the 
standard IEEE guidelines:

Accepted papers will be scheduled for presentation, which requires that 
at least one of the authors registers
