- PhD/MSc position in human-robot collaborative surgery. A PhD or MSc
position is available in the bioMechatronics Lab in the area of robot-aided
minimally invasive surgery. Successful candidates must be highly motivated
to pursue independent and interdisciplinary research. A background in
mechatronic engineering or related disciplines is required. Hands-on
experience with control systems and robot programming is a definite asset.
Start date: Fall 2018. 

- PhD/MSc position in medical device instrumentation. A PhD or MSc position
is available in the bioMechatronics Lab in the area of instrumentation of
medical devices for autonomous robotic biopsy. Successful candidates must be
highly motivated to pursue independent and interdisciplinary research. A
background in mechatronic or electrical engineering is required. Candidates
with past experience with system instrumentation, sensor fusion, and
integration are strongly encouraged to apply. Start date: Fall 2018. 

- PhD/MSc position in biomedical ultrasound imaging and tissue spectroscopy.
A PhD or MSc position is available in the bioMechatronics Lab in the area of
nonlinear ultrasonics for biomedical imaging. Successful candidates must be
highly motivated to pursue independent and interdisciplinary research. A
strong background in mechatronic engineering and applied physics is
required. Hands-on experience with sensor design, biomedical imaging, signal
processing, or analog electronics is a definite asset. Start date: Fall
2018.
