One fully funded Ph.D. position available at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the University of Arkansas in spring 2019 or fall 2019. The Ph.D. student will focus on MR-compatible robot and robotic capsules.
1) Applicants have to fulfill the requirements for Ph.D. admission at UARK. Students are required to meet the basic English proficiency requirements.
2) Potential candidates are expected to hold a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, automation, mechatronics, robotics, mechanics, math etc. Demonstrated research experiences in robotics would be a plus (e.g. good publication record or hardware development experiences).
3) Proficiency in mechanical 3D modeling software (e.g. Solidworks/Creo), programming language (Matlab, C, C++, C#, Python), manufacturing tools, solid math/ mechanics/ robotics knowledge.
4) Excellent writing and communication skills.
