>> Fully funded Postdoc position is available at the Normandy university at Caen. This project is developed in cooperation with High school of engineering INSA of Rouen. This position is funded for one year and is open as soon as a high level candidate is found but expected starting date is September 2018.
>>
>>
>> Applications are invited for one postdoctoral research fellow position in Computer Sciences, Planning under uncrtainty, Learning and Robotics. Applicants should send a CV to abdel-illah.mouaddib at unicaen.fr and pascal.vasseur at univ-rouen.fr

>> Robots navigating in simple environments such as industrial units, perform well in a controlled way while this performance falls down when environnements are complex, crowded and populated. To better navigate in such environments in an interactive and cooperative way with the human, the robots should be able to understand the scenes, the behavior of the human and sometimes the correlation between the environment and the human behaviors. A deep understanding of the scenes and the events (human behaviours for instance) through cognitive reasoning and deep learning is the main aim of this work. This work will involve :
>>
>> 1. Long-term learning from previous experiences to better enrich and update the knowledge and the adaptation of the robot. Knowledge will particulalrly concern the correlation and causality between the environment properties and their traversability to better adapt the navigation algorithms to new situations.
>>
>> 2. Deep learning for spatio-temporal probabilistic models augmented with correlation between human behavior and some spatial properties to contribute to a better robot navigation in respect to the human moving and needs and to adapt and assist him accordingly.
