safety and security

Deadline for application: *March 16^th 2018*

Project Description: The candidate will participate in a project where 
safe and secure cooperation between unmanned ground vehicles and 
unmanned aerial vehicles will be demonstrated. He/She will be 
responsible of development and experimentation of a guidance, navigation 
and control system for mixed indoor/outdoor missions where fusion 
between GPS, UWB, LIDAR and Vision is sought for safe navigation and 
resilience to GPS jamming and spoofing. The system will be demonstrated 
in various scenarios including:

-Indoor/outdoor transition

-GPS jamming and spoofing detection and counteraction

-approach and landing on moving platforms (ground and at sea);

-indoor /outdoor environment mapping for navigation and exploration;

-haptic pilot support for situational awareness and obstacle avoidance 
for remotely piloted aerial vehicles;

-enemy vehicles tracking, engagement and deception via selective 
gps-spoofing

Candidate required skills : Control Systems and Kalman Filters Design, 
Matlab, Simulink, C/C++ programming

Candidate desired skills : Guidance and Navigation, ROS, Computer 
Vision, SLAM, Haptics, MPC
