On May 9-11, the University of Washington Applied Physics Laboratory and School of Oceanography will be hosting a workshop on "Remotely Deployed, Interactive, Deep Ocean Robotic Vehicles” aka   Resident Autonomous Underwater Vehicles 2018 (RAUV).     

The recent completion of the Ocean Observatories Initiative Cabled Array and other cabled ocean observatories around the world provides an unprecedented opportunity for long-term, unattended deployments of ocean robots.    We are hoping this will be a summit between roboticists interested in the problems of long-term vehicular autonomous and scientists who can benefit from RAUV platforms.
