Applications are invited for three fully funded PostDoc positions and a Programme Manager position in Soft Aerial Robotics at Imperial College London and the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology in Zurich.

Two PostDoc positions in Aerial Manufacturing (work location in London)
The project will investigate novel manufacturing and manipulation methods with aerial vehicles. Main research thrusts will include soft mechanism design, bio-inspired control and navigation frameworks, morphing body structures as well as system integration, optimisation and testing.

Programme Manager in Aerial Robotics and Digital Infrastructures (work location in London)
The recently established Centre of Excellence in Infrastructure Robotics and Ecosystems (Ceire) and the Aerial Robotics Lab (ARL) at Imperial College London invite applications for a full-time Programme Manager position to contribute to the research programme in aerial robotics and digital infrastructures. The purpose of the post is to identify and establish industrial and academic links, write funding proposals and contribute to publication of the findings in high-impact journals.

PostDoc position in Soft Aerial Robotics (work location in Zurich)
Empa is the research institute for materials science and technology of the ETH Domain and conducts cutting-edge research for the benefit of industry and the well-being of society. The general guiding theme and vision of the new Empa Materials and Technology Center of Robotics is to develop novel robotic systems for infrastructure maintainance and environmental monitoring. The center is based on an institutional partnership between Imperial College London and the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology. Research thrusts include aerial robotics platform development, soft robotics, material science and infrastructure systems.
