Tritech International Ltd and Heriot-Watt University are looking for a researcher to join a new knowledge transfer project to develop state-of-the-art underwater object detection, recognition and tracking system using sonar imagery, based on deep learning and sensor fusion. Post-graduates from Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant disciplines are encouraged to apply.
The KTP associate will lead development of this new product range under the guidance of Tritech’s software engineering department and the academic supervisor. The associate will develop intelligent software systems, reporting back to the engineering and marketing teams, and work collaboratively to integrate these systems into the existing products.
While being an employee of Heriot-Watt University, the associate will be based at Tritech’s Edinburgh office premises located in the Heriot Watt Research Park. The associate will have access to all the university facilities (computing, office space, training programmes etc.) available to regular university employees. In addition, the candidate will also have access to Innovate UK’s training programmes including business administration focussed training programmes.
