The Postdoctoral Research Fellow’s research will focus on the ASTRO project, with an emphasis on wireless system design, mobile sensing, machine learning, drone networks, experimental performance evaluation, and advanced prototype implementation. The ASTRO project is a platform for autonomous data-driven mobile sensing missions via networked drones. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will also assist in leadership and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students. The initial appointment is for one year, renewable annually for up to three years total.


 Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields


·      Software defined radio programming

·      Experience with Python and Matlab 

·      Experience with Embedded Systems and Sensors 

·      Experience with Arduino and Raspberry Pi platforms

·      Experience with ML/AI technologies and related platforms 

·      Experience in prototyping, working in a laboratory environment 

·      Experience handling hardware

·      Exceptional communication and technical writing skills

·      Source Code Management (Gitlab)

·      Experience with Docker

·      Write Clear and Detailed Technical Specifications and Documentation

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds.
