The Material Robotics Lab at Boston University invites applications for a
highly motivated postdoctoral fellow position in the areas of Surgical
Robotics and Soft Robotics. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Mechanical
Engineering, Robotics or Mechatronics, and a proven track record of high
quality publications. A strong experience in design, prototyping (studies of
materials, additive and subtractive manufacturing methods), and experimental
testing of medical robots is required.
The capability to work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
including engineers and clinicians is required. The postdoctoral fellow will
be expected to publish scholarly papers as well as take on a mentorship role
for undergraduate and graduate students. Strong organizational skills,
creativity, and communication (oral and written) ability are required.
