University of Massachusetts Amherst

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor---Robotics

2019-2020

The College of Information and Computer Sciences (CICS) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels in Robotics.

In a collaboration between the Colleges of Engineering and Information and Computer Sciences, UMass Amherst is building an Excellence Cluster in Robotics to remain at the forefront of research and education in this critical field. Plans are underway for a new Integrative Robotics Facility for the cluster to support a complement of 8-10 faculty from CICS and Engineering distributed over all ranks. To this end, the University will hire five more tenure track faculty across CICS and Engineering. We are actively seeking faculty who can broaden our robotics program with expertise in machine learning, dynamics and control, machine vision, planning, human-robot interaction, manufacturing systems, and other key areas.
