The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University 
of Nevada, Reno (UNR) invites applications for one Tenure-Track Assistant 
Professor Faculty position in Robotics starting July 1, 2019. The new 
faculty member will help the CSE department expand their program in robotics 
into advanced manufacturing and advanced autonomy. Areas of highest interest 
include but are not limited to: motion planning and control for robotic 
systems, as well as on multi-robot collaboration, navigation of complex 
environments, manipulation and advanced perception and cognition. Applicants 
must demonstrate potential for developing robust externally funded research 
programs; and be committed to excellence in research and teaching. They will 
be expected to supervise M.S. and Ph.D. students and participate in service 
and outreach. We strongly encourage individuals from under-represented

Advanced Manufacturing Research Initiative: The College of Engineering is 
pleased to announce eight openings for tenure-track faculty in advanced 
manufacturing across a variety of disciplines. These openings are part of a 
multidisciplinary, university-wide,  multi-year commitment to establish the 
University of Nevada, Reno as an international leader in advanced 
manufacturing research. Advanced manufacturing has been a priority in the 
College of Engineering for the past several years, and the College plans to 
add up to 16 positions in advanced manufacturing over the next four years. 
The availability of these positions are contingent on available funding.
