on Advanced Robotics will be held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on December

The 19th International Conference on Advanced Robotics (ICAR), one of 
the oldest and most prestigious robotics conferences in the world, will

The proceedings will be indexed in IEEE Xplore and extended versions of 
selected best papers will be invited for publication in a special issue 
of the “Journal of Intelligent & Robotic Systems”.

Paper Submission

Papers reporting original research in the general areas of Robotics, 
Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, 
and applications are welcome. Six pages in standard IEEE format are 
allowed for each paper, including figures. A maximum of two additional 
pages is permitted at additional cost. Prospective authors should submit 
PDF versions of their papers. We also invite authors to submit a video 
clip to complement the submission. Detailed instructions for submission

Belo Horizonte (Brazilian Portuguese: [ˈbɛlu oɾiˈzõtʃi], locally 
[ˌbɛloɾiˈzõtʃi];[a] "Beautiful Horizon") is the sixth-largest city in 
Brazil, with a population of approximately 2.5 million. Belo Horizonte 
is the capital of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil's second most 
populous state. It is the first planned modern city in Brazil. Belo 
Horizonte is a well-located city with direct flights to the USA, the 
Caribbean and Europe, and to most major cities in Brazil through 
domestic flights.

Located in Belo Horizonte, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, UFMG 
(Federal University of Minas Gerais) was founded in 1927 it stands among 
the top 3 universities in Brazil and the second largest in the country's 
federal system. It offers 75 undergraduate degrees, 86 graduate programs 
in several areas of knowledge (most of them ranked with the highest 
quality "seal" by the Brazilian Ministry of Education), 79 
Post-Baccalaureate programs and 41 medical residency programs. UFMG has 
three campi and a population of 49,254 students.
