Are you working on a project or venture using artificial intelligence,
robotics, or other technologies for social good? Apply for the Do Good
Robotics Symposium Start-up Competition and compete for up to $5,000!

Robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies hold
tremendous potential in addressing many of the societal challenges
exemplified in the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. The
inaugural 2019 Do Good Robotics Symposium (DGRS) aims to bring together
researchers, practitioners, and groups engaged in multidisciplinary and
cross-cutting research and deployment of technologies for the benefit of
our society and planet. The DGRS will host a Start-up Competition on
October 3, 2019 to foster the entrepreneurial spirit and provide a
platform to encourage researchers and practitioners to commercialize
their ideas and prototypes that squarely place the benefit of society
and the planet at its core. The Start-up Competition is intended to
inspire, educate, and enable anyone who has an idea that would benefit
humanity across the globe through AI technology to further develop and
implement their solution. Competitors will compete for the chance to win
up to $5,000, exclusive bragging rights to winning a premier AI &
robotics start-up competition, and the opportunity to get in front of
top executives and investors from the DC-Maryland-Virginia area who will
be part of the audience and panel of judges. Winners of the DGRS Startup
Competition will also get access to Do Good Accelerator programming,
including coaching support to scale up their ventures.

Who can apply? Anyone with an idea or prototype using robotics, AI,
and/or automation technology-with societal or environmental benefit at
its core-is welcome to apply. Projects that have significant or
well-established start-up capital or revenue cannot be considered at
this time.
