Dear colleagues,
It is my pleasure to share with you the news of PhD opportunities in the
recently renewed EPSRC Centre of Doctoral Training in Robotics and
Autonomous systems (CDT-RAS), which will fund over 80 PhDs in the next 5
years.

The Edinburgh Centre of Robotics (ECR) has 40 more world leading
academics from the Heriot-Watt University and the University of
Edinburgh. Hosted at ECR, the EPSRC CDT-RAS is leading in the UK effort
to realise its industrial potential in this revolution, by producing a
new generation of highly skilled researchers, trained to take a central
role through technical skill coupled to industry and market awareness.

The ECR is recruiting *robotics & AI PhDs over 60 PhD topics* for UK and
eligible EU students. As part of the Edinburgh Centre of Robotics, my
group is looking for potential PhDs in the topics below (more info:
edinburgh-robotics.org/academics/zhibin-li):
- Learning whole body motor skills for agile robot locomotion
- Deep learning of autonomous robotic manipulation
- High-speed scene-agnostic visual servoing for logistic robots

Eligibility: *UK and eligible EU applicants ONLY*
Available studentships: 10-12 per academic year
First round of applications: deadline *17 March 2019*
