Apologies for multiple postings

Dear All,

you are kindly invited to actively participate to the ERF 2019 Workshop on
' Reproducible Robotics 10 years later ' which will be held in Bucharest
(Romania) on March 20th 2019.

More than ten years after the establishment by Euron of the Special
Interest Group on Good Experimental Methodology and Benchmarking (at the
Euron Meeting 2008 in Prague) and 10 years after the creation of the IEEE
RAS Techical Commitee on the Performance Evaluation and Benchmarking of
Robotics and Autonomous Systems, the replicability and reproducibility of
results and their objective evaluation and comparison are starting to be
put into practice. Stiil, controlling for environmental considerations is
hard, defining comparable metrics and identifying goal similarity across
various domains is poorly understood. Even worse, there is still no solid
theoretical foundation for experimental replicability of experiments in
robotics. This situation has impaired and still impairs both research
progress and technology transfer.

__However, Reproducible Research in Robotics is now possible, thanks to the
R-article process in IEEE RAM. This workshop will provide necessary
information, knowledge and motivation to allow the community to transition
to a reproducible research environment.__

If you want to pre-book a short intervention in the brainstorming session
just drop a few lines email. Interaction is very welcome!

We look forward your active participation

All the best
