Image analysis and recognition play more and more critical roles in the
wave of technology revolution of the automotive industry. The emerging
applications range from autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance
system, to intelligent human machine interaction, just name a few. Image
analysis and recognition has received an increasing amount of attention
from researchers in academia, government laboratories and industry. This
research activity has borne some fruit in tackling some of the
challenging problems in automotive domain that are still open. This
special session aims to present the most state-of-art advances in the
field and bring expert insights from a well combination of academic and
industrial point of view. Topics include but are not limited to:

Object Detection and Tracking
Image Segmentation
Scene Understanding
Road Condition Monitoring
3D Modeling and Mapping
Visual Odometry
Driver Behavior Recognition
Situation Awareness
