Dear Researchers,

The Institute of Transportation Systems at German Aerospace Center (DLR) has an open position in the area of navigation and sensor systems (camera, LiDAR, GNSS) for vehicles and transport infrastructure. Application fields are autonomous cars and trains, and infrastructure sensors for connected vehicles.

The job is located in Braunschweig, Germany. Initial duration is 2 years.

It includes the following topics:

- perception of the environment and ego-localization using methods as deep learning, SLAM, and filtering methods,
- integration of sensors and data-processing methods in real-time and automated systems,
- calibration and synchronization of sensors,
- testing with research vehicles as our autonomous and connected cars.

The job is addressed to researchers (M.Sc. level or above) with some robotics and hardware experience (e.g. cameras together with localization) and will include work on third-party funded projects. The job may be combined with a doctorate or be your Post-doc job opportunity.
