We are still accepting applications for the open Post-Doc position in Biomedical Sensing for Robot-Assisted Medical Interventions.

The position is part of a project that aims to research and develop novel technologies to improve the current state-of-the-art in precision needle-based procedures, including injection, biopsy, and catheterization. Specifically, this position is dedicated to research towards novel biomedical sensors for such procedures, which may include investigating and developing new technologies to detect the treatment target and guide the operation in real-time. 

We are looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic engineer with experience on the design, development and assessment of systems for disease detection, diagnosis and/or therapy. 

* Qualifications:
   - PhD degree in engineering, robotics or related field and an excellent publication record.
   - Experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered a plus: biomedical sensors, bioimpedance, mechatronics, medical robotics, clinical trials.

* Fully funded position: 
The successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract with a highly competitive salary commensurable with qualifications and experience.

* Workplace: 
Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Genoa, Italy
